We provide comprehensive and personalized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy tailored to meet the unique needs of each child and family we serve. Our expert team of Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based services in environments that best support the child’s learning and development. From the comfort of your home to our specialized centers and the broader community, we offer a range of therapy options designed to foster skills, independence, and growth.
Our ABA therapy begins with a thorough initial assessment conducted by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to understand your child’s strengths, vulnerabilities, and your family’s priorities. Following the assessment, our staff provides personalized 1:1 ABA therapy, focusing on specific teaching objectives through strength and assent-based training, reinforcement systems, and data-driven strategies to ensure progress. We tailor therapy sessions to meet your child’s needs, providing them with the opportunity to learn alongside peers and qualified staff. We encourage strength-based play and learning. Our centers in Louisville and Lexington offer flexible scheduling options, including focused and comprehensive, to accommodate your family’s lifestyle and maximize therapeutic benefits.
Our community-based ABA services extend learning beyond traditional settings and focus on applying behavioral strategies in real-world situations. Accompanied by a qualified staff member, your child will engage in activities designed to enhance social skills, perform age-appropriate tasks, and improve safety awareness. This service complements in-home therapy, offering a holistic approach to your child’s development. Therapy sessions are designed to promote effective learning, skill maintenance, and generalization across individuals and settings to promote consistent progress in all steps of the journey.
At Higher Ground ABA, our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) prioritize meaningful care collaboration to ensure every client receives consistent, effective, and individualized support across all environments. Our BCBAs work closely with Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), school personnel, and other members of each child’s care team to align therapeutic strategies and promote skill generalization. We actively review and support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), communicate regularly with educators and related service providers, and incorporate shared goals into our treatment plans. By maintaining open communication and a team-based approach, Higher Ground ABA ensures that interventions are coordinated, progress is maximized, and each client is supported holistically to achieve the best possible outcomes at home, in school, and in the community.
Higher Ground ABA offers structured social skills groups designed to help each client build meaningful, functional social abilities in a supportive and individualized environment. These groups are carefully developed and led by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) who tailor activities to match each child’s developmental level, communication abilities, and personal goals. Social skills groups provide opportunities to practice essential skills such as initiating conversations, taking turns, understanding social cues, emotional regulation, problem-solving, and developing friendships. By participating in small, guided peer groups, clients learn to generalize skills beyond one-on-one therapy and apply them in real-world settings like school, home, and the community. At Higher Ground ABA, we recognize that every individual’s social needs are unique, and our groups are designed to provide the right level of support, structure, and encouragement to promote confidence, independence, and long-term success.
Recognizing the pivotal role of caregivers in the therapy process, we offer ongoing training and support within all of our services. Additionally, caregiver consultations provide families and individuals with an overview of principles and practical strategies for home and community settings. This empowering resource is designed to reinforce therapeutic goals and foster a supportive environment for your child’s continued growth.
